this is the first thing i'm ever
posting that i've worked on at
the ole job. it's quite possibly the
only print that i can say i actually
created and painted from scratch.
i'm actually proud of it, so here it is!

bookbinding fun!

i'm finally posting photos of the journal i made in my bookbinding class last session at the columbus cultural arts center. emily, my teacher, is wonderful and i'm happy to say i signed up for the next session which starts tomorrow.

i used a buttonhole binding to create this journal. it is covered with paste paper we also made in class.

iris

i look at this amazing woman everyday on my
desktop. her name is iris barrel apfel. there was a
special exhibit of her personal wardrobe on display
at the costume institute at the met when i still lived
in new york. unfortunately, i was never able to attend the exhibit, but she reappeared in my life via wgsn. she is visually inspiring and i hope to look just like her when i grow old.
